Indowood Expo 2025 Officially Closes, Showcasing Technology Innovations from 10 Countries

SURABAYA, June 21, 2025 – The Indonesia Forestry and Woodworking Machinery Expo (IndoWood Expo) 2025 was successfully held over three days at the Grand City Hall, Surabaya, and officially closed today. This exhibition played a crucial role in driving the growth of the national wood industry, facilitating industry players to introduce products, expand networks and business opportunities, and improve the quality of local products to be able to compete competitively in the international market.
IndoWood Expo 2025 was organized by the Indonesian Furniture and Craft Industry Association (HIMKI), along with Dyandra Promosindo, and Pablo Publishing. During its three-day implementation, the exhibition successfully attracted 3,349 visitors, dominated by furniture and craft industry players from various regions in Indonesia, as well as representatives from Malaysia, India, Singapore, Thailand, Australia, Hong Kong, Russia, Iceland, and Sri Lanka. This achievement is concrete proof that IndoWood Expo 2025 is a strategic initial step in opening up market opportunities and fully supporting the wood industry in Indonesia.
Three Main Pillars of Indowood Expo and Global Innovation
IndoWood Expo focused on three main pillars: Forestry, Woodworking, and Machinery and Technology. With this focus, the exhibition successfully presented a variety of high-tech woodworking machines and tools, as well as modern furniture designs and the latest production technologies that support industry efficiency and sustainability.
Visitors had the opportunity to consult directly with experts and watch demonstrations of machinery usage with advanced production techniques. More than 100 exhibitors participated in the IndoWood Expo, with 59 companies from 10 countries showcasing the latest innovations in production technology. Participants from China were dominant with a variety of machine solutions and automation systems for the woodworking industry. In addition to China, countries such as Taiwan, Singapore, Denmark, Canada, Australia, Romania, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Thailand also reinforced the diversity of technology on display.
HIMKI's Commitment and Future Hopes
HIMKI Chairman, Abdul Sobur, affirmed that IndoWood Expo not only focuses on achieving business transactions but more on its role as a platform for education and strengthening industry strategy. "We are in an era of global competition that demands speed and efficiency. An understanding of advanced production technology is key to building the competitiveness of the national industry. We position IndoWood Expo as a collaborative learning space to increase industry capacity and efficiency," he said in his closing remarks.
Abdul Sobur added that IndoWood Expo 2025 is also an important momentum to review the industry's readiness to adopt new machines and technologies and to open up opportunities for cross-country collaboration. "HIMKI hopes that in the future, more industry players will make technology an integral part of their business transformation," he explained.
President Director of Dyandra Promosindo, Daswar Marpaung, also conveyed Dyandra Promosindo's commitment to continuously support the Indonesian wood and furniture industry in increasing its contribution to the national economy. "With this achievement, we hope to hold the IndoWood Expo again in the following years. We are committed to providing a platform that not only facilitates local Indonesian products entering the global market but also supports sustainable industrial expansion," added Daswar Marpaung.
On the same occasion, William Pang, Director of Pablo Publishing & Exhibition, expressed his pride in fully supporting every participant, especially from outside Indonesia. "We are committed to facilitating participants optimally, ensuring they get the best opportunities to reach a wider market and develop their business in Indonesia," he said.
