GUANGZHOU, July 10, 2025 – The Indonesian Furniture and Craft Industry Association (HIMKI) once again reaffirms its commitment to expanding the reach of the national furniture and craft industry into the global market through participation in the prestigious 'The 27th China Building Decoration Fair' (CBD Fair) in Guangzhou, China. HIMKI's presence as a guest of honor at this international-scale exhibition is a testament to the recognition of Indonesia's strategic position in the global furniture and interior industry.
The CBD Fair is a leading business platform in the field of building decoration and interiors, held twice annually in Shanghai and Guangzhou. For this 27th edition, the CBD Fair takes place at the Canton Fair Complex with a total exhibition area of 420,000 square meters. More than 2,000 companies participate and attract over 200,000 professional visitors from all over the world.
As a form of appreciation for HIMKI's contribution to the development of the Indonesian furniture and craft industry, the CBD Fair organizers specifically invited the HIMKI delegation as VIP guests. The delegation received a number of exclusive facilities, including four-star hotel accommodation, official shuttle services, and priority access to various areas and special lounges during the exhibition.
"This year's CBD Fair highlights several strategic sectors, ranging from windows and doors, sanitary equipment, ceiling and wall systems, smart home technology, to furniture and custom decoration," said Marthunus Fahrizal, Chairman of the International Inter-Institutional Relations Division of DPP HIMKI. He added that this reflects a new direction in design, building technology, and global interior trends.

Through this participation, HIMKI gained direct insights into the latest developments in the industry, ranging from the use of eco-friendly materials, modern finishing technologies, to AI-based furniture innovation that prioritizes function, aesthetics, and sustainability.
The CBD Fair Guangzhou 2025 also served as a strategic event to bring together global manufacturers and professional buyers from various parts of the world. HIMKI utilized this opportunity to explore export opportunities, technology partnerships, and potential long-term collaborations with international partners.
"The CBD Fair provides an important space for us to understand the direction of global industrial transformation and formulate strategies so that Indonesian products remain competitive amidst the dynamics of the international market," said Iwan Sung, Chairman of the Bamboo and Natural Fiber Raw Materials Division of DPP HIMKI, after attending a visit session on the second day of the exhibition.
